Some sad news over the past few days with the death of Stuart Colledge . He was the reason my girls stayed with the club as his coaching was second to none. A very good runner in his day for Coventry and Uni, his enthusiasm and committment could not be beat. He spent Tuesday and Thursday at the club and Monday circuits at the club hut / local gym and Saturday and Sunday at Sconce or beacon hill for hill or timed laps. He also very rarely cancelled training.
His training produced some fantastic athletes over the years, too many to mention.
Unfortunately dementia / alzhiemers took over and although his sessions are still used today he could not get to his club he enjoyed so much.
He died on Wednesday morning peacefully in the nursing home in Leicester.
